One of the best parts of a Premier SIPs system is how easily the panels connect together. Due partly to how the panels connect, the installation of SIPs framing systems is much more efficient than other stick-framing methods.
About SIPs Structural Connections
Premier Structural Insulated Panels are composed of two sheets of oriented strand board (OSB) structurally laminated and pressure-cured to a rigid core of foam insulation.
Premier SIP panels are joined together in one of three ways:
- 8' long by 3" wide block splines
- Dimensional lumber (2x4, 2x6, etc.)
- I-joists in 6-, 8-, 10- and 12-inch depths
